City Temple collaborates with Ignite and works in India alongside Gateway ministries. They are based in Rajahmundry city in the state of Andhra Pradesh in Southern India. Headed up by Pastor Prasad, his brother Pastor Prabhakar and his father Pastor Victor, Gateway has a network of 120 or so churches in rural villages around Rajahmundry. They reach out to Hindus, train pastors and also look after a church for lepers. Currently, Gateway ministries are in the process of becoming part of Elim’s movement in India.
We have sent mission teams to Rajahmundry in 2006 and 2007 and intend to keep sending teams regularly. Teams visit many village church services for evangelism and prayer ministry, (including churches built by Ignite.) They lead a day training conference for pastors, give food and clothing to the leprosy church and participate in activities for children at the Come Together Compound.

GATEWAY SCHOOL is in the village of Undeswarapuram near Rajahmundry. In late 2005, Nigel James identified 3 acres of land that his wife Gill and he then helped Gateway ministry to purchase. The land is called 'The Come Together Compound' and the first project to be built is the Gateway School, which should be opened towards the end of 2006. City Temple are involved in the ongoing fund raising for the school, which is being co-ordinated by Gill James. The school will cater for children from as many as 8 local villages. Many children in these villages do not attend school and have no education at all. Those fortunate enough to attend school have to walk about 7 miles each way, each day, in order to attend a small and cramped school in a distant village.
