City Temple Cardiff

The City Temple is a city centre church with a citywide vision. Started in 1929 after an extraordinary 51 nights of pioneer outreach meetings led by evangelist George Jeffreys, which saw over 3,000 converted and many wonderful healings the City Temple opened in 1934 on a prime site opposite Sophia Gardens and a stone's throw from the new Millennium Stadium.

Part of the Elim Pentecostal Church, a nationwide movement with over 600 churches throughout the UK, we are a growing church with an increasingly international congregation. We have a heart for the expanding city of Cardiff, for Wales and for the Nations.

Sundays @ City Temple

Passionate worship, powerful real life teaching and preaching, a great kids' programme. Over 40 nationalities, people of all ages and backgrounds a gifted local ministry team complemented by outstanding speakers from around the world – these are just some of the ingredients that make Sundays at City Temple special.

Sundays at City Temple provide an opportunity for:

Encounter – to meet with God in worship and to experience His life changing presence
Empowering – to receive power for living through engaging both with God’s word and His Spirit
Equipping – to be trained and equipped to know His plan and purpose for your life and to be enabled and released to serve Christ and others in His name

Sunday mornings:

9am and 11am share much of the same content – with the same speaker and message – each with it’s own feel with 9am being slightly gentler plus communion each week, whilst 11am has a vibrant, contemporary style.

Sunday Evenings, 6.30pm:

Sunday night brings more opportunity for varied ministry with strong worship and preaching. Our once a month Guest Service is a 1 hour sharp, dynamic presentation of the Christian message – with the impact of real life stories.
Regular Healing Services also take place as part of our Sunday night programme.

1st Sunday of the month:

4.30pm, Worship & Word – a quieter more reflective service with hymn singing and a devotional message.
6.30pm, Presence – A youth and young adults service with contemporary worship led by the Presence band, Presence speaks for a generation of young Christians full of faith and hope for their friends, community and their city. A high impact service for high impact living.
