Ministry Opportunities 2011
Each year members of City Temple go abroad to help with churches and missions. If you would like to find out more information about how you can be a part of this, please download and fill in a form. A list of expected missions and approximate dates is listed below. See the Ministry Overseas page for details of City Temple Members who are permanently living and working as missionaries.
MISSION: INDIA
WHERE: Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh
WHEN: 1st-10th July
FOCUS: Visiting Gateway School, Evangelism with village churches, pastors conference, link-up with Ignite India and Pastor Prasad.
WHAT WE WILL BE DOING: Living at Pastor Prasad’s house and preaching in a selection of Gateway and Ignite India churches. Leading a training conference for Gateway pastors, giving encouragement and support to the leprosy church and the Gateway School, undertaking evangelistic trips to rural village locations.
COST: £1100 including flights, accommodation, transport and food.

MISSION: KENYA
(plus option of BURUNDI and CONGO)
WHERE: Kibera slum in NAIROBI.
WHEN: 10th September - 22nd September
(plus option of 23rd September - 2nd October in Burundi and Congo)
FOCUS: Encouraging and supporting the ministry of Lighthouse of God.
WHAT WE WILL BE DOING: Staying at an Africa Inland Mission hostel and travelling each day to the school run by Lighthouse of God to minister to the children and staff through helping with lessons and taking some training. Outreach to local widows, running a kids club and a crusade meeting.
COST: £900 for Kenya part of mission, including flights, accommodation and food.

MISSION: BURUNDI AND CONGO
(plus option of KENYA)
WHERE: Bujumbura beach and Congo destination TBA.
WHEN: 23rd September - 2nd October
FOCUS: Working with street kids on the beach, and HIV/AIDS awareness seminars for pastors and leaders.
WHAT WE WILL BE DOING: Spending three days with street kids on the beach in Bujumbura. Visiting another province to lead a two or three day seminar for pastors and leaders, and another two-day seminar for ladies. Onto the UDR Congo to conduct a two-day seminar for pastors and leaders.

MISSION: LIBERIA
(PROVISIONAL ARRANGEMENTS)
WHERE: Monrovia
WHEN: End of October - Early November
FOCUS: Street evangelism, youth outreach, link-up with Ignite Liberia.
WHAT WE WILL BE DOING: Staying in a mission compound and reaching out to the local population on the streets of the Monrovia, the capital city. Encouraging and supporting the growing youth ministry that Ignite are developing through Rev. Emmanuel Jonah, visiting several church centres and working alongside local leaders in their communities.
