'P.S' as he was lovingly known was the Senior Pastor of the City Temple from 1939-1974. His 35 years of ministry saw great leaps forward as the City Temple reached out to the growing capital city and as it became a world renowned centre of Pentecostal ministry and missions.
P.S. Brewster was a gifted evangelist and he steered the church to reflect his passion for the gospel and for people to be saved. City Temple became a church with very lively services with the most contemporary methods employed to reach everyone for Christ. The Temple building was made 'modern' and accessible to the non-churchgoer, the music was vibrant and began to creatively reach out to the suburbs with buses bringing people into the services and a very successful children and youth programme opening youth clubs in many of the city schools. Over the years this evangelistic zeal brought thousands to Christ as a generation of Cardiff people were reached with the gospel.

P.S Brewster also used the resources of the Temple alongside his own powerful ministry to plant other churches all over Wales and the UK - including Caerphilly, Bridgend, Bristol and Exeter. He was also a respected world Pentecostal leader serving as General Secretary of the World Pentecostal Conference and as the General Superintendent of our denomination, Elim.
